Greetings! The Writing Center is now open for the fall 2018 semester.

To reserve an appoint, click on the "Register for an account" link to the left. Once you register, you can login, reserve an appointment up to 10 days in advance, and meet with a faculty consultant or senior tutor at a time that works well for you.

We are open Monday - Thursday, 10am to 8pm and Friday, 11am - 4pm. The Writing Center will close for the fall semester on Friday, December 14th.

The NYU Writing Center's Sentence-clarity Workshop
Wednesday, November 14th: 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Want to work on clarity, correctness, or sentence "flow" in your writing? Please join us for our sentence-clarity workshop on Wednesday, November 14th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. An EWP faculty member will teach strategies for proofreading and improving sentence structure, with additional time to apply what you've learned to your own writing or draft. 
The workshop is open to all writers, but space is limited. Please RSVP here

The workshop will be held in the Writing Center on the 4th Floor of 411 Lafayette in conference room 440.

September 17 and 25: Writing a Clear Sentence

Mon., Oct 1 & Tues., Oct. 23: Writing an effective paragraph

Mon., Oct. 15 & Tues., Nov. 6: Crafting an analytic claim


Come to one or more of these writing workshops with writing that you would like to work on. You will be guided through strategies to improve your writing skills and then, with the support of a writing consultant, apply those strategies to your own writing. 


These workshops are designed with undergraduate international or multilingual students in mind, but all NYU students are welcome.


Topics and dates are tentative, and space is limited. You MUST RSVP to reserve your spot and confirm workshop details. To RSVP or for further information, contact Andrea White Rock, CAS Assistant Director of Writing Tutorials (
